In some cases, I can make a call, but I can't connect to the Internet. Why?
In some locations, only voice service may be available (such as in the mountains) and not data service. Therefore, you will need to change your location to surf the web.
Is 4G connection supported?
Yes, GlocalMe G4 & U2 supports 4G connectivity.
Why used more data than expected?
With Wi-Fi, your smartphone can automatically update apps, consuming a lot of bandwidth. Therefore, it is imperative that your GlocalMe restrict application update and synchronization. You can also simply turn on the “save data usage” mode on the G4 device (in section “More”).
If I lose my device, what should I do?
Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can suspend our service and avoid any unexpected costs. You can also sign in to your GlocalMe account and change your password.
How do I check the amount of data used?
To see the data flow, please log in to your account in the GlocalMe app.
How long does it take to fully charge my G4 device?
Approximately 7.5 hours from 0 to 100%.
How long can the G4 run continuously?
About 18 hours when fully charged.
How many devices can connect to G4 at the same time?
Up to 5 devices can be connected to the G4 at the same time.
Why does the G4 show the 3G icon when it supports 4G?
GlocalMe service is dependent on local operator networks. The 4G service is preferred, but when there is no 4G signal or the 4G signal is weak, the G4 will switch to 3G service automatically.
Can I charge my phone using G4 as PowerBank
Yes, you can just plug the cable into a USB port and connect a rechargeable device.
I have a SIM card ...
In addition to the GlocalMe network, there are 2 SIM card slots (Micro-SIM format). You can simply insert a SIM card and select the appropriate SIM card slot in the gadget to use the SIM data.
How do I get started with U2?
- Download the GlocalMe app (Andriod or iOS).
- Create your own GlocalMe ID.
- Activate your U2 with GlocalMe ID. Login to your GlocalMe ID. You can enable the U2 scan device QR Code on your device. (The Device-QR code is on the back of the U2 or the label next to the SIM card slot)
- Turn on your device: Press the START button for 5 seconds until the front of the light comes on.
- When the communication light stops blinking Your GlocalMe U2 is ready for use.
How long can U2 work continuously?
About 13 hours.
How long does it take to fully charge a U2?
About 3.5 hours when fully charged.
How many devices can connect to U2 at the same time?
Up to 5 devices can be connected to U2 at the same time.
How do I change my Wi-Fi name and password?
Connect GlocalMe Wi-Fi (GlocalMe_xxxx) → Open 192.168.43.1 in the browser → Login (Login / password: admin) → Enter new SSID and password → changed.
How do I activate a purchased data plan? Can I choose the package I want?
The data pack will be activated automatically when you turn on your GlocalMe device and connect to the Internet. When your account contains more than one package that can be used in a location, the package you previously purchased will be used in priority order. Currently, users cannot select packages manually.
How to reduce unnecessary data consumption?
It’s important to remember that when your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi signal, there may be some apps that automatically update. If you have an Android device or iOS devices, turn off data usage in General Settings. Settings → Wireless & networks → Data usage (deselect “Automatically sync data” and select “Show WLAN usage”) → Mobile hotpots → select GlocalMe_xxxx
How can I use my SIM card?
Start U2 by inserting the SIM card into the SIM slots. Connect to GlocalMe Wi-Fi (GlocalMe_xxxx) → Enter “192.168.43.1” in Browser Search → Nickname (Login / Password: admin) → Settings (SIM Card Management) → SIM1 / SIM2
Why doesn't my SIM card work on my device?
Some SIM cards are locked with a PIN code. You must first disable your PIN before use.
Will my TravelSim card work on my GlocalMe?
Yes, the TravelSim card will work when you enter the SIM card in the APN GlocalMe gadget SIM card settings.
